Why October & November Are Ideal for Grad Sessions

First, let’s talk about campus. In October and early November, the fall foliage in Chester and Montgomery County is at its peak, with vibrant reds, oranges, and golds painting the landscape. By December, most of the leaves have fallen, leaving behind bare branches and a more muted backdrop- not nearly as magical for your once-in-a-lifetime photos.

Weather is another big factor. Fall in Philadelphia is a sweet spot between the heat of summer and the chill of winter. By October and November, the air is crisp but comfortable, making it easy to wear your cap and gown- or even a favorite outfit underneath- without bundling up in heavy coats. Waiting until December often means dealing with freezing temps, which can make your session feel rushed rather than fun and celebratory.
